I love being a designer and thrive on solving business challenges through beautiful, easy to use designs. My focus is on the digital world, crafting experiences for apps and websites, but at my heart I’m a creative. Over the years, I’ve learned that great design isn’t just about visuals or technical skill, it comes from deep listening and awareness. Together, we build with empathy, curiosity, and a sharp sense of what feels right. Senior Product Designer
2020 - Present
I have done a mix of digital design and product design over the last 5 years. I designed e-commerce websites, web extensions, dashboards, and web applications for startup and agency clients. I have gained experience in UX by conducting user research through video interviews, creating customer journey maps, developing user personas and scenarios, and designing user flows.
Contract Product Designer
2020 - 2024
I enhanced their iOS and Android apps by improving the user experience and design while ensuring accessibility standards were met. I focused on refining user flows and interaction design through collaborative problem-solving to balance user needs with business goals. To guide these improvements, I conducted user research and testing, iterating on UI/UX updates in line with product strategy and key performance indicators. In addition, I designed and built marketing websites using Webflow, bringing ideas to life with clean, user-friendly designs.
Senior Designer
2016 - 2018
I contributed to and eventually led large-scale digital design projects for major brands. My responsibilities spanned the entire creative process, from pitching innovative ideas to collaborating with UX and development teams. I played a key role in establishing the creative vision for projects, either executing the designs myself or art-directing their implementation. Additionally, I spearheaded the development and implementation of a shared, flexible design system, which streamlined our processes and significantly improved the efficiency and consistency of our websites.
Digital Designer
2015 - 2016
I designed e-commerce websites, created wireframes and advised on UX decisions, built prototypes, presented work our clients, and worked closely with the developers at Meanbee who then built the sites.
Graphic Desgner 2
2007 - 2015
I worked in State Farm’s in-house Creative Services department as a Graphic Designer. I conceptualized and designed for large internal and external events, and also worked on a marketing and advertising team that established advertising campaigns which ran nationwide. During my time there I art directed photoshoots and was lead designer on an internal publication, conceptualised creative for large initiatives, and worked on the branding team when the company established a new logo and brand.
Most recently, I've been doing product design for
Gener8. I began my freelance career in 2020, and prior to that, I was designing digital experiences at
Omobono (now
The Marketing Practice). Before that, I worked designing e-commerce websites at
Meanbee (now
Space 48), and before moving to the UK, I worked as a designer in creative services at
State Farm in Bloomington, IL. Additionally, I have taught design as a part-time lecturer at both
Bath College and
Illinois State University.
What I'm good at
I love making things look beautiful and will work until a design is right. I design quickly and I will iterate over and over to make sure I've exhausted my ideas. I enjoy learning and if I don't know how to do something I will do my best to figure out how.
Things I have done in the past:
- Improved the user experience for the checkout of the luxury brand Symthson
- Designed a dashboard tool for At Source Olam that allowed companies to calculate their environmental footprint. Worked closely with the UX team to ensure the best experience.
- Encouraged then helped train the agency I was a new employee in to move from Photoshop to Sketch in 2016. Developed a flexible design system template in Sketch that the company used for projects going forward
