About me
I'm a designer based in Bath, UK. Over 15 years I've worked with corporate teams, e-commerce brands, education, on B2B marketing and with startups. This variety and experience means I'm comfortable leading projects end to end, and can drop into almost any context. I've always been incredibly curious about new tech and tools, but not for their own sake. Lately, I use AI to close the gap between design and working product.
Bath Design Society
This year I've been co-running Bath Design Society events with Sam. We've thrown two Lovable hackathons and a vibe coding roundtable so far. Bringing designers together to actually try AI tools, rather than just talk about them, has been incredibly rewarding and fun. With the landscape changing so rapidly, it is great to meet in person and discuss how others are using AI and to learn from each other.
I have done a mix of digital design and product design over the last 5 years. I designed e-commerce websites, web extensions, dashboards, and web applications for startup and agency clients. I have gained experience in UX by conducting user research through video interviews, creating customer journey maps, developing user personas and scenarios, and designing user flows.
As part of a small product team, I collaborated closely with another designer to enhance the company's mobile apps. From mapping user flows to refining key interactions, I helped design features that balanced user needs with business goals. Through research, testing, and iteration, we shaped UI/UX updates that supported the overall product strategy. I also designed and developed several marketing websites using Webflow.
I contributed to and eventually led large-scale digital design projects for major brands. My responsibilities spanned the entire creative process, from pitching innovative ideas to collaborating with UX and development teams. I played a key role in establishing the creative vision for projects, either executing the designs myself or art-directing their implementation. Additionally, I spearheaded the development and implementation of a shared, flexible design system, which streamlined our processes and significantly improved the efficiency and consistency of our websites.
I designed e-commerce websites, created wireframes and advised on UX decisions, built prototypes, presented work our clients, and worked closely with the developers at Meanbee who then built the sites.
I worked in State Farm's in-house Creative Services department as a Graphic Designer. I conceptualized and designed for large internal and external events, and also worked on a marketing and advertising team that established advertising campaigns which ran nationwide. During my time there I art directed photoshoots and was lead designer on an internal publication, conceptualised creative for large initiatives, and worked on the branding team when the company established a new logo and brand.
