Problem:
Hypa needed a visual identity that would resonate within the BigCommerce ecosystem, appealing to small and mid-sized merchants looking for accessible, high-quality tools. The brand had to convey trust, innovation, and modularity, all while standing out in a competitive marketplace.
Objectives:
  • Create a modern, scalable logo that works across app stores and web
  • Develop a visual language that is trustworthy, forward-thinking, and reflective of Hypa’s mission
  • Echo elements from the parent agency (Space 48) without being derivative

Logo option 2
Process:
The branding phase started with designing the logo, exploring several directions centered on space and tech themes. The final mark needed to be clean, recognizable, and highly legible at small sizes (e.g., in app listings). Next, I expanded the identity into a broader visual system. The system combined geometric shapes to represent modular building blocks, reflecting Hypa’s product philosophy, with abstract, space-inspired forms that conveyed a sense of limitless potential and innovation, all anchored by a bold yet accessible typographic system that set the tone for both product and marketing communications.
Solution:
The resulting brand identity successfully positions Hypa as a credible, modern player. The scalable logo worked well across platforms, and the visual system provides strong brand cohesion. This foundational work elevated Hypa’s presence and set it apart in the app ecosystem.

Problem:
With the new brand identity in place, Hypa needed a clean, intuitive website to establish its credibility and showcase its app offerings to eCommerce merchants.
Objectives:
  • Translate the brand identity into an engaging web experience
  • Present app offerings clearly and guide users through content
  • Build trust with small to mid-sized merchants through design clarity and professional tone
Process:
Starting from the newly developed visual identity, I designed the website to reflect Hypa’s modern and innovative character. I incorporated abstract, space-themed graphics throughout the site to create visual flow and evoke a sense of exploration. Large, confident typography was used to guide users through the content and emphasize clarity at every level. The layouts were crafted for intuitive navigation, making it easy for users to explore available apps and engage with clear calls to action. I also paid close attention to responsiveness and structural consistency, ensuring the experience remained seamless across all devices. I created a design system for the site as well, to ensure a smooth handover to the developers and establish consistency for any additional designs.
Solution:
The final website clearly communicats Hypa’s product offerings and brand story. It paired striking visuals with a logical structure, helping merchants engage confidently with the brand. Combined with the identity work, the website positioned Hypa as a serious, innovative force in the BigCommerce space.
